There are beaches famous for surfing, wide sandy or rocky coastline, walking tracks, children pools, no waves or rough waves and for fine cafes and restaurants. Bondi Beach

Bondi BeachBondi Beach is the most famous and important beach. Bondi Beach has featured on more postcards and in more television travel shows and films than any other beach in Australia. It is magnet for travellers who love the combination of beach and city life. You can spend a whole day hanging around here and the neighbouring area.

Bondi BeachBesides the beach life Bondi offers magnificent walks that you must try. Many local uses these tracks as their daily routine. You will always find people jogging or walking. You will be fully amazed by the rocks, cliffs, lookouts, plants wildlife the nature itself. You can access the tiny Tamara Beach and the very well known Bronte Beach on this track.


Manly

ManlyManly is famous about its sunny and crowded beaches. You can enjoy all kind of water activities like swimming, surfing, kayaking, speed boating and scuba diving or play beach ball or just lie down for a tan. You can walk on the day and night busy Corso or just take one of the many walking track like Shelly beach, The Quarantine Station, Sydney Harbour National Park, Scenic Drive or North Head.
ManlyOceanworld Manly - daily live shows and guided tours allow you to get up close and personal to dangerous, deadly creatures. You will see huge sharks, stingrays, snakes, spiders, crocodiles and much more. If you're coming from the Sydney ferry, turn left and walk along the esplanade from the ferry terminal to get to Oceanworld. Manly Art Gallery and Museum - regional gallery and museum featuring Australian art, ceramics and local history collections.


Palm Beach

Palm BeachYou need to travel quite far as Palm beach is the most northern point from the city centre. It is well worth for your effort getting there even though you will not find many palms. Palm Beach is home to countless millionaires, film people and artists and is arguably the most picturesque beach in Sydney. You may want to climb the Barrenjoey Head that is on the North.

Palm BeachYou can access it on “easy” way choosing the track running from West side of the Barrenjoey Head. If you desire more challenging and interesting route then follow the sandy track from the car park straight to the bottom of the cliff. For your surprise, there will be a few palm trees there. You need to perform some rock-climbing but nothing serious, no equipment needed. You will find the best lookout from the highest point in Sydney.

Long Reef
If you travel to Palm Beach you shouldn’t miss out the Long Reef Aquatic Reserve on the North Shore near Collaroy Beach. It isn’t a beach but well worth a look.
